David Borchard, Ed.D., NCC, is a professional counselor/educator with over
25 years experience in career/life planning as a career service center manager,
a college educator, a career counselor, a writer, and an organizational career
management consultant. Dr. Borchard specializes in career development,
leadership assessment, and designing careers and lifestyles for the 21st
Century. He has taught graduate-level career development courses at the Johns
Hopkins University and consulted with organizations such as the U.S. Department
of Education, Social Security Administration, Office of Personnel Management,
the Veterans Administration, several Maryland Government agencies, AARP,
AT&T, the International Monetary Fund, the Public Broadcasting System, and
Fairfax County Government. Over the past several years, he has been working with
World Bank staff helping them redirect their careers for employment in 21st
Century's knowledge era. He has written high-visibility articles on leading-edge
issues in career/life development and created career assessment resources such
as Life Directions Profiler and the internet-based Career
Passion Revealer. Dave, a Myers briggs INFP, spends leisure time rock
gardening, canoeing on the Potomac River, and walking his dogs in the
"almost heaven" countryside of West Virginia.
Cheryl Bonner, M.Ed., is a career program director and a counselor. She has
over 20 years experience working in various higher education settings including
proviate and public universities and community colleges. She is currently the
director of Alumni Career
Services at Penn State University where she provides services to meet the
career/life management needs of alumni and facilitates networking opportunities
for alumni and students. As an active board member for the Middle Atlantic
Career Counseling Association, she has had the opportunity of being a part of a
team of career experts who have developed conferences to provide counselors in
education, government, and industry with state-of-the-art career skills.
Originally trained to be a special education teacher through her undergraduate
degree, she continues to use her passion for education by serving as an adjunct
professor at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She is a frequent
speaker at conferences and training events on the topics of career,
life-management, mission, and calling. She has developed career and work-related
courses that have been taught in both the traditional classroom setting and
through distance learning. Cheryl is an ENFP who enjoys being involved in many
things and projects. Realizing that life cannot be satisfied with just the
worker role, she is an adult education facilitator at her church, an amateur
photographer, and a learner of new thins. During her free time, she can be found
with her husband, Bill, working on their home and garden, strolling along the
nearest beach, or exploring a new town.
Susan Musich, M.Ed., GCDF is a global career consultant and certified
Global Career Development Facilitator based in Washington, DC. She assists staff
of The World Bank Group and their families with life and career
transitions/relocations to and from more than 140 countries. Susan developed The
World Bank’s
first virtual Country Briefing Center and co-founded its Global Mobility Center
to provide transition support. Susan specializes in international career
mobility of the highly skilled and the cultural aspects related to global career
transitions. She also consults with individuals in career transition at other
international organizations including the U.S. State Department. Susan is
co-author of "SAMS Teach Yourself Today e-Job Hunting," published by
