David Borchard, Ed.D., NCC, is a professional counselor/educator with over 25 years experience in career/life planning as a career service center manager, a college educator, a career counselor, a writer, and an organizational career management consultant. Dr. Borchard specializes in career development, leadership assessment, and designing careers and lifestyles for the twenty-first century. He has taught graduate-level career development courses at the Johns Hopkins University and consulted with organizations such as the U.S. Department of Education, Social Security Administration, Office of Personnel Management, the Veterans Administration, several Maryland Government agencies, AARP, AT&T, the International Monetary Fund, the Public Broadcasting System, and Fairfax County Government. Cheryl Bonner, M.Ed., is a career program director and a counselor. She has over 20 years experience working in various higher education settings including private and public universities and community colleges. She is currently the director of Alumni Career Services at Penn State University where she provides services to meet the career/life management needs of alumni and facilitates networking opportunities for alumni and students. As an active board member for the Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association, she has had the opportunity of being a part of a team of career experts who have developed conferences to provide counselors in education, government, and industry with state-of-the-art career skills. Originally trained to be a special education teacher through her undergraduate degree, she continues to use her passion for education by serving as an adjunct professor at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and training events on the topics of career, life-management, mission, and calling. She has developed career and work-related courses that have been taught in both the traditional classroom setting and through distance learning. Cheryl is an ENFP who enjoys being involved in many things and projects. Realizing that life cannot be satisfied with just the worker role, she is an adult education facilitator at her church, an amateur photographer, and a learner of new things. Susan Musich, M.Ed., GCDF is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator based in Washington, DC with more than 18 years of experience working with international organizations, including the World Bank/IFC, the United Nations, the U.S. State Department, the Inter American Development Bank, Accenture, George Washington University, and others. She is the managing director of Passport Career (www.PassportCareer.com), which is an online international job search system designed for universities and colleges to support students with their international career transitions. Susan has worked with people from more than 180 countries. She specializes in the international mobility of professionals and the cultural aspects related to global career transitions, with an emphasis on dual career and family support for globally mobile staff. Susan developed The World Bank’s first virtual Country Briefing Center and co-developed its first-ever Global Mobility Center to provide transition support to staff and families moving to more than 140 countries. In addition, she also worked for the Peace Corps as the director of their career and transition services. Susan is a frequent speaker at international HR and career conferences and has written or edited 13 books on international career transitions--including e-Job Hunt (Macmillan, 2000), International Careers (Peace Corps, 1996), and the first book written about careers in Africa, Africa Job Search (2008). She has authored more than 300 career and transition articles. Susan has a master's degree in Counseling and Development from George Mason University where she focused on global career transition dynamics and a bachelor's degree in communication from Northern Arizona University, where she focused on journalism and public relations. She lived in Mexico, the Philippines, and Costa Rica, and has delivered presentations and training activities in more than 20 countries. She speaks both Spanish and English (and some Waray-Waray from the Philippines).
